Marketing agency launched in Lockdown hits £300,000 revenue

Dundee-based agency BlueLime Marketing, which was launched during lockdown has exceeded forecasts and recorded annual turnover results of £300,000 in its first trading year. The business, which was initially launched as the in-house agency for specialist construction investment company, United Capital, expanded quickly to meet demand from companies across Scotland.

BlueLime Marketing, which offers a full range of marketing services including branding, digital marketing, and marketing consultancy, has already recruited two full-time, senior positions and has plans to double the size of the team in the next 12-months. To position the company for further growth in 2021, BlueLime invested significant sums into a fully equipped podcasting and vlogging studio, based in Affinity Business Centre in Dundee.

Managing Director, Fraser Kirk, commented; “BlueLime started out as a way to manage the marketing requirements of United Capital and as we progressed through the lockdown period, we simply responded to demand from other businesses needing marketing support. We have recruited two experienced managers into the business which has given us the platform to continue our rapid growth. The demand from the market took me by surprise but I think many business leaders wanted to ensure their company not only survived the Covid crisis but was in a position to quickly re-start as soon as restrictions allowed.”
